A Behind-the-Scenes Look at Our Supply Chain
At
OTELON, we don’t just make
sheepskin products — we start with the hide itself.
Every year, our sourcing team travels to
Australia and New Zealand, where we hand-select sheepskins from certified farms. These regions are renowned for their clean environment, temperate climate, and high animal welfare standards — ideal conditions for raising healthy sheep. We work only with trusted suppliers who provide full traceability and documentation, ensuring we know exactly where each hide comes from and how it was raised.

Once the raw sheepskins arrive at our factory in Nangong, China, the real transformation begins. Unlike many brands that outsource production, we handle every stage of manufacturing in-house — tanning, drying, shaping, cutting, stitching, and finishing. This vertical integration allows us to maintain strict quality standards, streamline lead times, and offer customization tailored to individual client needs.
Our skilled craftsmen and technicians bring decades of experience to every step. From the way each hide is trimmed to how it's softened, dyed, and assembled, the process is a blend of traditional technique and modern efficiency. Every product undergoes multiple rounds of inspection before it reaches the customer.

Sustainability is at the heart of how we operate. We use
eco-friendly tanning methods that reduce the use of harmful chemicals, and we’ve invested in our own wastewater treatment system, with a daily processing capacity of 1,000 tons. By managing waste responsibly and reducing environmental impact, we’re proving that quality craftsmanship and environmental stewardship can go hand in hand.
But what truly sets OTELON apart is our commitment to
full-chain craftsmanship. We're not simply makers — we're caretakers of a process that begins on open pastures and ends in your hands. It’s a philosophy of care, control, and connection that runs through every stitch and surface of our products.

When you buy from OTELON, you’re not just getting a finished product. You’re receiving the result of decades of skill, care, and responsibility — a sheepskin good crafted with precision, purpose, and pride, from farm to factory.
